Made-in-Nigeria (Main) Festival starts in Lagos next week

 


The much talked about Made-in-Nigeria Festival will hold at the Eko Atlantic City, Victoria Island, Lagos from Monday September 26 to Saturday October 1, 2016. The theme for the event is 'Innovate, Connect, Power the Future'. The week-long event has been broken down into the following segments: The Main Expo, MaIN Idea, MaIN Agenda, MaIN Summit and Supremacy Concert. Made-in-Nigeria.

MaIN) Expo is designed to create opportunities and foster networking. Over 600 exhibitors comprising global brands and Nigeria's biggest brands and businesses make up the exposition. It is open to all Nigerian brands and businesses providing products and services for the Nigerian market.

MaIN Expo covers over 22 sectors including key thematic areas. They include: food and beverage, auto, healthcare, fashion and beauty, telecommunications, furniture, banking and finance. The Made-In-Nigeria (MaIN) idea 吠s a private sector-driven initiative that seeks to create a platform for the maximum expression of the true Nigerian spirit of creativity, enterprise and resilience among others.

The MaIN Agenda would serve as a concrete action proposal that details urgent interventions in each of the 5 key growth sectors mentioned earlier. The MaIN Summit is a platform for government leaders, private sector and industry experts to address matters related to Nigeria's economy. It would also serve as a medium to explore opportunities, exchange innovative ideas and forge new partnerships.

Billed to speak at the Main Summit is His Excellency the Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo GCON (SAN) who will deliver the keynote address. The Chairman for the event is Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

Other dignitaries to attend are the Senate President Dr. Bukola Saraki, His Excellency Executive Governor of Ogun State Senator Ibikunle Amosun, Alhaji Lai Mohammed Minister for Information & Culture, Mr. Segun Ogunsanya MD/CEO Airtel, Mr. Babatunde Fashola Minister of Works, Power and Housing, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Senator Ben Murray Bruce, CBN Governor Mr. Godwin Emefiele, Mr Ronald Chagoury, Mr. Okey Enalamah Minister Industry, Trade & Investment, Mr. Herbert Wigwe MD/CEO Access Bank, Mrs. Ibukun Awosika Chairman First Bank and others. The festival will end with Supremacy Concert which will hold on October 1 and will feature King Sunny Ade  (KSA), Asa, 2Baba, Dbanj and Wizkid. Main Flavours involves the display of traditional recipes made in different parts of Nigeria from Nkwobi, to Dodo Ikire, Suya and a host of other traditional recipes. ATTENDANCE IS FREE! Main Fashion will bring together the finest of fashion designers from Nigeria and abroad.
